At the age of 17, Brian Deegan joined Team Moto XXX as a pro supercross rider. In 1997, Deegan won the 125cc main event and ghost raced his bike through the Los Angeles Coliseum finish line. He broke his femur and both wrists while doing a twisting backflip 360 over a 100-foot snow double at the Winter X Games. He returned six months later to finish fourth at the Summer X Games.
He won the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Unlimited Lites championship in 2009, beating much more experienced competitors. During the 2010 X Games, he competed in the Rally Car Racing event at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
