Miranda Manasiadis has been married to Jemaine Clement for almost a decade. The lovely adventure of the pair began in college. Clement studied cinema and drama at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, where they initially met. Following their first meeting, their romance blossomed, and the couple maintained a long-term relationship. After years of dating, they finally tied the knot, taking their relationship to the next level.
Clement married his wife In 2008
In a Los Angeles registrar’s office, Clement married his long-time college lover in 2008. The famed actor took a break from writing the second season of his comedy, Flight of the Conchords, to marry his fiancée, according to Stuff. The ceremony was small and intimate, with only a few friends in attendance. Bret McKenzie, Clement’s lone band member, was present. Clement and his wife are both co-stars and lovebirds. The married couple worked together on the New Zealand feature comedy Eagle against Shark in 2007.
Of course, Clement’s wife works in the entertainment industry. Girl vs. Boy, Realiti, and Nude Tuesday are just a few of her credits. Nonetheless, Manasiadis is better known for her stage work than her television appearances. She works with a variety of indie and experimental theatre companies and has starred in numerous performances at the Circa and Bats theatres.
She was even a founder member of Afterburner Production, Jealous Theatre Company, and Open Book Theatre Company, three of Wellington’s most famous theater companies. Manasiadis has worked as a dramaturg, concept designer, and designer in Wellington, New York, and Athens during her long career.
Jemaine Clement Children
Manasiadis and Clement have been together for 13 years. The couple only had one child. They welcomed their only son, Sophocles Iraia Manasiadis Clement, also known as Sopho, into the world in New York in October 2008. Their child was named after members of their family, according to Stuff magazine. Sophocles is the name of Manasiadis’ Greek grandfather, and Iraia is the name of Clement’s grandparents.
Sopho was developed during Clement’s hit comedy series Flight of the Conchords’ second season. The 47-year-old claimed in a February 2021 interview with Stuff that he enjoys being a dad. Having a child, he added, was the best decision he had ever made. “I adore it,” he said as the subject came to a close. Clement, his wife, and their now-13-year-old son live in Los Angeles, attempting to keep their personal problems out of the public eye. They rarely interact in public or post about family issues on social media.
