His parents are Nieves Colón, a retired waitress, and Richard Colón, a retired serviceman. Prichard’s family moved to Puerto Rico when he was ten years old so that he could compete for the island. He made his professional debut on February 23, 2013. As a result, his debut fight was against Xavier La Salle at the Cosme Beita Salamo Coliseum in Catao, Puerto Rico. He defeated LaSalle in the first round. Similarly, he was known for his unpredictable schedule. He also fought five times in 2013 and seven times the following year.

Furthermore, on September 9, 2015, he met Vivian Harris, a more experienced fighter, in his most famous battle. He was supposed to fight Terrel Williams in an undercard bout at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia on October 17, 2015.

He and Terrell Williams battled for nine rounds, with him winning the opening five. Williams continuously hit him in the back of the head illegally throughout the contest. “You take care of it,” the referee said when he told him about the illegal punches to the back of his head. Colón, on the other hand, was penalized two points for striking Williams with a low punch.

He was knocked down for the first time in his professional career during the ninth round after a sequence of illegal blows. He told the ringside doctor, Richard Ashby, that he was dizzy but that he could continue in between rounds. The doctor gave Colón the all-clear, allowing the fight to continue. After his corner erroneously removed his gloves thinking the fight was over, he was disqualified after the ninth round.

His followers also said he appeared disoriented and dizzy. He was transported to the hospital after the fight because he was vomiting. There, he was diagnosed with cerebral edema. As a result, he was in a coma for 221 days. In 2017, Colón’s parents filed a lawsuit demanding damages of more than $50 million. In addition, the litigation has yet to be concluded, and his mother fears it will never be.
